Our work

Practical support that helps people build a better future

We help people all over Trinidad & Tobago who are struggling to provide food and other essentials for themselves and their families.

What we do

Our core ministries

Home visits

Vincentians visit people in their homes, listening, offering friendship and practical help.

Supporting families in need

Food, essentials and accompaniment for families across Trinidad & Tobago.

Caring for children living with HIV

Care and support for children affected by HIV.

Community outreach

Reaching people who have nowhere else to turn, in every community we serve.

Financial assistance

Help for people struggling to make ends meet, which may include rent, utilities, medical expenses or other basic needs.

Medical and dental care

Free or low-cost medical and dental care for people who cannot afford to pay for it.

Educational support

Support for children and adults, including help with homework, tutoring and scholarships.

Employment assistance

Helping people find jobs and develop the skills they need to succeed in the workforce.

Housing assistance

Helping people find affordable housing and avoid homelessness.

Disaster relief

Relief for people affected by hurricanes, floods and other natural disasters.

Accompaniment

Caring for those who are alone

Supporting older persons

We aim to relieve loneliness or deprivation caused by lack of family and friends. We listen, and help with everyday needs like going to the shops, paperwork and accompanying visits to the doctor — building bonds of affection and friendship.

Helping the sick

Care and support for people who are sick, especially patients who are alone or whose families cannot care for them.

Helping the homeless

Hostels, day centres, sheltered accommodation, clothing and meal centres, plus basic help with food, hygiene and daily living needs.
